In this class, we’ll explore the joys of mining memories and the senses to write stories inspired by our lives and transform them into fiction.

In this class, writer Anca Szilágyi will explore the joys of mining memories and the senses to write stories inspired by our lives. We'll reflect on seasons past to develop immersive scenes and discuss which of the five senses we naturally gravitate toward as writers and which we might try to explore more. Finally, we'll discuss strategies for transforming these memories into fiction. This program is in partnership with StoryStudio Chicago.
