Get ready for a night of authentic blues with guitarist and singer Johnny Burgin, drummer Stephen Dougherty and Swedish slide guitar queen Marie Martens.
Although blues guitarist and singer Johnny Burgin now hangs his hat in Memphis, his Chicago roots run deep. Johnny went to University of Chicago and also started more informally at "blues university", playing and recording with legends like Billy Boy Arnold, Tail Dragger and Howlin Wolf/Paul Butterfield drummer Sam Lay. Johnny released a string of acclaimed CDs on Chicago's Delmark records, and his latest release "Ramblin From Coast to Coast", was the 6th most played blues release of 2024 on The Big Blues Chart.
Johnny tours internationally, playing throughout North America, Europe, and Japan close to 200 nights a year, and he was nominated for a Blues Music Award for Best Traditional Blues Artist in 2023. He'll be joined by Stephen Dougherty on drums and Swedish slide guitar queen Marie Martens on bass and guitar.
