K-9 Reading Buddies (Grades K-6)

Independent readers can practice their skills and build confidence by reading for 15 minutes to a friendly registered therapy dog from K-9 Reading Buddies of the North Shore.

Click here to register for a 15-minute time slot. Make sure to select the correct month and date. There are a limited number of therapy dogs appointments available. 

Staff will have a selection of books available from our collection. Children are encouraged to bring or select their own titles. 

To accommodate demand, we may limit the number of times a patron repeats a popular program.

Please note these limitations for appointments

• Limit 1 child per appointment
• Readers are limited to one appointment every 2 months
• Appointments start and end on time
• If you can no longer attend your appointment, please cancel it ASAP 
• Repeated cancellations may affect your ability to make future appointments
