Join writer Caroline Macon Fleisher for a workshop to celebrate the art of reframing the personal essay as an ongoing practice.

The word "essay" comes from the French essai, meaning "to try." For this discussion, we'll celebrate the art of trying by reframing the personal essay as an ongoing practice, one that welcomes imperfections along the way. This 90-minute workshop will include a lecture and a personal writing prompt at the end.

This program will be held live on Zoom. In partnership with StoryStudio Chicago.
