You may know Orson Welles from the film "Citizen Kane" or "The Other Side of the Wind," but his first film noir was "The Stranger." Welles plays the Nazi war criminal Franz Kindler, who is posited by the film as the designer of the final solution. It is also the first Hollywood film to have documentary footage of the Holocaust.
