Join Maria Krysan, PhD as she discusses themes around her award winning book, "Cycle of Segregation."
Maria Krysan, PhD who is fresh off her award-winning book, Cycle of Segregation, will join us to discuss the social processes that perpetuate segregation. Maria Krysan is a Professor of Sociology at UIC and Senior Scholar at the U of I's Institute of Government and Public AffairsKrysan will expand upon the biases and blind spots that individuals exhibit in their searches for housing. As a result, segregation has declined much more slowly than many social scientists have expected.
