Menachem Kipnis (1878-1942) was one of the early twentieth century's most popular Jewish east European ethnomusicologists, folklorists and photographers. Now, for the first time, Kipnios' stories and photographs are published together in a single book to create a sense of the world destroyed in the Holocaust.
