The International Children’s Film Festival is a truly special filim experience that showcases award-winning movies from around the world designed to stimulate the imagination of children and parents alike. After watching the films at home on Saturday, attendees will be invited to join a Zoom afterparty with directors!
Co-hosted by the Chicago-based International Children’s Media Center, the festival will showcase captivating and culturally rich films from twelve different countries, including South Africa, Switzerland, and Brazil. This year's virtual film festival focuses on "Seeing the Best in Others". The program showcases twelve captivating short films from twelve countries, including three Chicago premieres. Captioning will be available. We invite you to watch at home and then vote for your favorite film! Children and adults alike will resonate with these unique films and their themes that illustrate just how important it is to care for one another. After the screening, you can attend our virtual afterparty and talk with some of the film directors.
These world-class children's films will appeal to children ages 5 to 10, but even older kids will find something to spark their imagination in this international mini-festival.
